Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Jordan proposed a sinister deal; Nate alerts Victor of Nikki’s relapse; Jack unleashes Tucker’s scandal.
Daniel’s Apartment
Lucy, Daniel, Heather, and Danny finish putting up and decorating a Christmas tree. Lucy asks where all the ornaments came from.
Danny says he had a bunch in storage and mixed them with the new ones.
Lucy thinks they’re “vintage.”
Daniel says he’ll never get rid of the glitter.
Danny says it feels like a Christmas miracle that they’re all together.
There’s a knock at the door. Daniel answers it and invites Summer and Phyllis in.
Phyllis and Summer are carrying presents and wish Daniel a happy pre-Christmas. Phyllis can’t take her eyes off of Danny.
Society
Lauren meets Christine at the restaurant and hands her a bag from Fenmore’s. She says that Christine has immaculate taste, and Danny will love what she bought for him.
Christine says she wanted to get him something special… It feels like they haven’t seen each other at Christmas in years.
Lauren asks what’s happening between Christine and Danny. Are they still in the friendzone, or are they getting closer?
Christine grins and shares that they have something good going on and it makes her feel good. She says no more, not wishing to jinx it.
Michael arrives and kisses Lauren. He thinks they look beautiful. Christine takes that as her cue to exit and goes to see Danny while Michael whips out a present for Lauren and tells her there’s more.
She opens it to find a hotel key to their favorite hotel. He has to go ahead to arrange things. He will meet her there.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Abby and Devon finish their dinner. Abby says she’s glad they had an early dinner… It’s going to take them forever to wrap all the gifts for Dominic! She can’t wait to see his face when he sees all the presents under the tree.
Devon says Dominic’s finally old enough to enjoy the holiday.
Abby asks if Devon is going to make his seven-layer bars that he made with his grandmother. She loves hearing how he made them for Neil and Lily on his first Christmas with them.
Devon remembers Dru had given him money to buy gifts for everyone, and he spent it on baking supplies; he wanted to share one of his traditions with them. He says that was the first time he felt part of a real family.
Abby says Devon has been quiet lately. Is anything on his mind?
Devon says he doesn’t want to dump it on her at Christmas, but she’s going to find out sooner or later… It’s about Tucker. He explains the cover up story to her that was in the paper today.
She didn’t get a chance to see it and opens her phone to read and has some ideas of how Tucker should have handled the crisis.
Devon wants to listen to his father’s side. They discuss their first Christmas together and he vows it will be their best yet.
Tucker’s GCAC Suite
Tucker is on the phone talking to a reporter. He says it’s not a scandal unless they make it one.
They ask for a quote and he says, “Bah frickin’ humbug” and hangs up the phone, hard.
Daniel’s Apartment
Phyllis hands Danny a couple of presents and says she might have overdone it this year.
Danny laughs. Go big or go home!
Phyllis says she’s a sucker for Christmas.
Daniel and Summer give each other a look as they see their mom flirting with Danny.
Phyllis tries to tell Danny this is her favorite time of year. Daniel thinks it’s a miracle they’re all together. Later, they drink homemade egg nog and Heather suggests that they have a potluck dinner tomorrow for Christmas day.
Everyone is interested in this and Danny says they can even play charades.
They go around the room, citing what they are grateful for.
Summer’s glad her mom is back, alive, while Daniel’s grateful Lucy is home, and that Phyllis is alive.
Phyllis tears up at his speech, glad she is back and thanks Heather for making it happen.
Michael gets corny about love being all they need and Daniel mocks him.
They have egg nog and lift a glass to family and love before getting into a jolly rendition of Jingle Bells.
Christine arrives and Phyllis gets the door. They stare each other down, neither happy to see the other. Danny lets Christine in and seems rather uncomfortable with the two women vying for his attentions.
They all get egg nog and sit to listen to Danny tell stories about being on the road at Christmas and that it’s not glamorous.
He recalls a particular time their manager forgot to book a hotel and the concert promoter got them rooms, sofas, sleeping bags and even a barn to stay in on Christmas Eve.
Both Christine and Phyllis insert their memories into the story, each trying to top the other.
Finally, it’s time to go. Heather and Lucy go home and Summer says she and Phyllis need to go to the club for dinner with Nick.
Phyllis hopes Christine’s leaving and isn’t happy when the blonde decides to stay.
Later, once they are alone, Christine gives Danny a silk robe that he loves.
It used to be Bryan Ferry’s and Lauren got it for her, she says. He’s impressed.
He gifts her a bracelet just like the one he got her on her honeymoon that the airlines lost. She’s visibly touched.
It means a lot to her. They share a kiss.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Lauren arrives and stops by Devon and Abby’s table to wish them happy holidays and tell them she’s waiting on a surprise from Michael. She leaves and passes Tucker on the stairs. He thinks she looks festive.
He finds Devon and wishes them a Merry Christmas.
Devon thinks this one can’t be merry for him after that cover up came out in the news today. He wants to hear his side of things so Tucker explains. He didn’t cover the actions up with the girl and never would do that.
He fills them in on the rest and Abby thinks he could have come clean. Perhaps at a press conference? He knows he could have. He screwed up.
Tucker wants to know if he can come over tomorrow to drop off Dom’s gifts.
Devon will let him do that and he can spend time with Dominic, but that’s all. This isn’t an invitation to be in his life.
Tucker’s so grateful that he tears up and thanks his son. He’ll see him then.
Once he’s gone, Devon second guesses himself. Abby knows this is hard on him. They kiss and get back to talk of Christmas.
Phyllis arrives and meets Summer for their dinner with Nick. Summer has bad news.
She’s worried since Nick can’t make it. Something about an issue in the family.
Phyllis worries about Christian but he’s fine. Summer decides to go see Nick herself and Phyllis goes into the Neil Winters Lounge.
She gets a load of Tucker and tries to back out but he sees her and calls her over.
He assumes she’s alone for Christmas, too.
Phyllis stammers that she had Christmas with her kids all day and that Summer got called away due to a family issue with Nick.
She rambles and he asks to buy her a drink.

Michael and Lauren’s GCAC Suite
Lauren lets herself into the hotel room and puts Michael’s gift under the tree where she sees another for herself.
Michael comes from the washroom in a robe and gives her champagne.
They kiss and she calls this perfect. They have sex and later, he gives her a ring.
Lauren loves the ring and when he asks her to marry him once again, she tears up.
“Hold that thought,” she says, going to get his gift from under the tree.
He’s happily shocked when she takes out a new wedding band and asks him to marry her again.
They both laugh and say they do, a thousand times over. They share a kiss.
Next week on Y&R!
Michael tells Lauren that at the stroke of midnight, she will be his one and only wife, all over again. Lauren calls it inspired.
Phyllis tells Danny there is something between them. She thinks he feels it too. She knows he does. She leans in and they make out.
Nikki lets herself into an old abandoned barn. “Jordan?” She calls.
“Hello, Nikki,” Jordan says, holding a gun pointed at Nikki. “So glad you could make it.”
