Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Diane was enraged to find out Phyllis set her up, Summer learned of Daniel’s betrayal of trust, and Jack tried to convince Christine to drop the charges against Diane.
Crimson Lights
Michael brings Lauren a coffee and asks if she got any sleep last night.
Lauren says that she’s still reeling from what he told her… That Phyllis is alive.
Michael says that Daniel told him that Stark was killed by scissors, which isn’t public knowledge.
He says the entire scenario is insane.
Lauren thinks that Phyllis couldn’t have gone along with the whole plan willingly, she must have been coerced.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle joins Summer on the patio and she thanks him for giving her some space.
Kyle asks Summer to talk with him more, as they haven’t been communicating enough lately.
Society
Nikki sits with Victoria in the restaurant as they talk.
Nikki thinks that Victoria’s good mood has nothing to do with business and has everything to do with Nate.
Chancellor Park
Audra meets Nate and brings him a coffee.
Nate asks what the hell Audra was thinking by sending Elena to L.A. to get her heart broken.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane gets up from the couch and bumps into Ashley, who glares at Diane.
Diane says that Ashley might want to rethink her nasty attitude as they’re going to be family soon.
Ashley says that Diane is delusional and that there’s a lot of evidence that will send Diane to jail.
Diane says she’s confident because she’s innocent.
The Abbott Mansion
Summer tells Kyle that she never meant to shut him out, she just needs more time.
Kyle says that he thought that Summer was punishing Diane, but the fact that Phyllis is alive means that Diane is innocent.
Summer says that Diane is still guilty of something… She says she can’t see Phyllis. She gets distraught and says she has to leave… She has to do something before work.
She tells Kyle she’ll meet him at the office and leaves Kyle behind, confused.
Society
Victoria suggests to Nikki that they talk about something other than Nate. She starts complaining that Victor has handed the keys to McCall Unlimited to Adam.
Nikki asks Victoria to just let it go, she’s sounding just like Victor. Nikki says Vic wants to conquer everything just like her father.
Victoria asks if they’re talking about Nate or McCall Unlimited.
Chancellor Park
Audra tells Nate that she never sent Elena to L.A… It was Elena’s idea to go.
Nate says that Audra told Elena that he didn’t go to L.A. alone. He asks why she’d do that, knowing it’d end in heartbreak.
Audra says that Elena already knew their relationship was on the rocks.
Nate says that it shouldn’t have gone down like it did… Elena didn’t need to find out that way.
Audra says that Elena and Nate never belonged together, and says that she knows what Nate wants… He wants to be right beside Victoria and run Newman Enterprises.
Audra tells Nate that he’s impressively transitioned from medicine to business, and he’s risen so far. She implies that he’s trying to take over the company.
Nate says that the way things evolved between him and Victoria wasn’t calculated, it took them both by surprise.
Audra says that’s amazing, and she believes they really have something for each other. She says she was disappointed because she was attracted to Nate.
Nate asks if that’s why she sent Elena to L.A… To break them up and then she’d have a way to be with Nate.
Society
Victoria prepares to leave the restaurant, getting her purse and things together.
Nikki asks if Victoria’s given any thought to Elena.
Victoria waves off the question and says she has to get to the office. She leaves Nikki at the restaurant.
Crimson Lights
Lauren tells Michael she’s having problems processing how she feels about Phyllis… She’s thrilled that Phyllis is alive but wonders how Phyllis could do this to them.
Michael says that they saw Phyllis spinning out, so he can believe it… Phyllis used the same method that Diane used in order to exact revenge on her.
Lauren is distraught that Phyllis knowingly broke their hearts, and wonders how they will ever come back from it.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge at the GCAC
Summer meets Chance at the lounge.
She thanks him for meeting her and asks Chance if he’s heard the same rumor that she had.
Chance says that he’s heard that Phyllis is alive, but his initial reaction was a ploy to get Diane off the hook.
Summer asks if he thinks it’s true.
Chance says that Diane probably never meant to kill Phyllis, but something happened, and that’s where they are now.
He says that it’s probably a scheme cooked up by Michael Baldwin and Jack, and it’s going to blow up in their faces.
Summer says that she can’t help but wonder if it is true… What would happen to her mom if she came back?
Chancellor Park
Audra says she wouldn’t have minded seeing where things went between her and Nate, but she can’t compete with Victoria.
She says you can’t always get what you want in life, and that her goal is for Nate to see her as a way to get what he wants.
Nate asks what Audra wants in return. He says they have to trust each other to get what they want, and he knows what Audra wants.
Audra says that success is about give and take.
She says that when he moves up the ladder to Newman Enterprises, that’s going to leave the CEO spot at Newman Media vacant, and she wants that position.
The Neil Winters Jazz Lounge
Chance tells Summer that he’s speculating but if Phyllis was alive, the charges against her would depend on what evidence Phyllis presented in her defense.
Summer asks what Chance can do… What if her mother was out there somewhere and afraid to come home?
Chance says not to beat herself up over it.

The Abbott Mansion
Ashley tells Diane that a judge will see right through her story.
Tucker walks down the stairs. Ashley takes the opportunity to run over to Tucker and tell him that they should go somewhere… Anywhere.
Tucker says they should go for a walk, it’s lovely out. He invites Diane, but, OHHHH… She’s got an ankle bracelet and can’t go with them. He smirks and asks Ashley why Diane is so happy.
Ashley says that Diane thinks she’ll get out of jail soon.
Diane says she’ll enjoy watching Ashley eat humble pie, and sarcastically tells Tucker and Ashley to enjoy their walk. She heads up to her room.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Summer meets Daniel at the club, where he’s sitting on a couch.
Summer tells Daniel that he stabbed her in the back by telling Kyle, Jack, and Michael about Phyllis.
Daniel says he kept Summer’s name out of it.
Summer explains that she was scrambling to make sure her story matched his, and then he went behind her back and talked with Jack. She asks what the hell Daniel was thinking.
Daniel says he can’t be controlled by Summer, and they need to get legal help immediately, or their mother is in deep trouble.
Newman Enterprises
Victoria walks into her office to find Nate waiting for her.
Victoria says she’s surprised to see him there… What does he want to talk about?
Nate says that Victoria wanted to know where things were going between them.
Victoria asks what his thoughts are on it, and Nate responds by walking up to Victoria and kissing her passionately.
Nate tells Victoria that the last time they saw each other, they hit the brakes, but he’s done a lot of thinking since then.
Victoria asks what his thoughts are.
Nate says that he hates the fact that he broke Elena’s heart, but he can’t ignore the chemistry between Victoria and himself.
They kiss some more and Victoria starts taking off Nate’s jacket.
There’s a knock at the door. It’s Nick, who calls out for his sister.
Crimson Lights
Michael says he knows Lauren wants answers, but first, they have to find Phyllis, and she’s probably in hiding.
Lauren says that Phyllis isn’t really in hiding… Daniel saw her.
Michael says it’s possible that Phyllis is laying low and keeping her options open while she figures a way out… That’s what he’d do.
Lauren says that Phyllis has pulled some outrageous stunts in her life, but when she resurfaces, people will want her head on a platter.
Michael says everyone will get over it, and so will Lauren.
Lauren asks what Michael’s next move is.
Michael says he’s mulling over a few options.
Lauren says that his options had better be ingenious because it’s hard to deal with someone as cagey as Phyllis.
Newman Enterprises
Nate quickly puts his jacket back on as Victoria goes to answer the door.
Victoria lets Nick in, and Nate excuses himself and leaves Victoria’s office.
Nick asks if the office is an aphrodisiac, and says that Nate is too ambitious, it concerns him.
Victoria says that Nate’s ambition is good for the company and that they want the best at Newman Enterprises. She says that the company is blessed to have someone like Nate around.
The GCAC
Summer tells Daniel that he betrayed their mom by going to Jack with that information. He’s made the situation infinitely more complex.
Daniel says that he protected Summer by telling them that Phyllis had contacted him and not her.
Summer says that she hopes Daniel doesn’t expect any gratitude from her.
Kyle walks up to them and says they need to calm down. He asks what’s going on.
Chancellor Park
Tucker and Ashley walk into the park.
Tucker asks Ashley what Diane meant by Ashley eating humble pie.
Ashley says she has no idea what goes through Diane’s mind. They both sit on a park bench.
Tucker mentions that he’s going to be hanging out with Dominic. He says he was working so much before, he needs to get back to the basics and make up lost time with Dominic.
Newman Enterprises
Victoria says work is fine, and tells Nick that not everything is about him.
Nick says he’s there making sure that the company is moving forward and doesn’t use the company jet to go flying across the company… Unlike some people he knows.
Victoria gets defensive and says it was a legitimate business trip.
Nick says he saw Elena last night, she was heartbroken and had moved out of Nate’s already. He says that what Victoria is doing with Nate is wrong on many levels.
Victoria says she feels awful about Elena, but she has real feelings for Nate.
The GCAC
Summer tells Kyle that the whole situation has been putting strain on her.
Kyle says he’s sure that Phyllis didn’t reach out to Summer because of who Summer is married to, and that she shouldn’t jump down Daniel’s throat because none of it is his fault.
Summer and Daniel share a look, and Kyle asks what that look was about… Is he missing something?
Crimson Lights
Michael talks on the phone. After the call, he tells Lauren that his private investigator has hit pay dirt.
He thinks this is the big break they’ve been waiting for.
Chancellor Park
Tucker shows Ashley a video of Dominic banging on the bongos.
Ashley congratulates him that he was able to sit through that.
They laugh and joke that Dominic is going to be the next Ringo Starr.
Ashley says that maybe Tucker should just move his stuff into her room when he gets home.
Tucker jokes that he likes his room, but he’ll think about it.
Newman Enterprises
Nick says that Nate is as capable of deception as J.T. or any of the other men that Victoria’s been with who mislead her.
Victoria says she’s not going to discuss that with Nick or with their mom.
Nick says he’s not going to stop worrying about her.
Victoria says that even if Nate has an agenda, she’ll make sure that nothing gets out of control. She tells Nick that she loves him and doesn’t want to be at odds with him anymore.
Audra stands in the lobby and calls for the elevator.
The elevator door opens, and Nate comes out. He heads to the office, and Audra looks after him.
She gets into the elevator, smiling to herself.
The GCAC
Summer tells Kyle she wasn’t attacking Daniel… There was just a lot of guilt about their mom.
Summer looks flustered and asks Kyle if they can just go to work. They head to the lobby, leaving Daniel.
Kyle asks why she didn’t tell him about meeting with Daniel.
Summer says that it was between her and Daniel.
Kyle says this is what he means by her shutting him down.
Summer stammers and makes some excuses. She says she has to leave and will meet Kyle at the office. She runs out of the club, leaving Kyle looking more confused and worried than ever.
Crimson Lights
Michael tells Lauren that Stark died before he could finish the inheritance paperwork.
He says the paperwork had a P.O. box as the address, and that the investigator was able to find the registration address of that P.O. Box.
It turns out that the registration address is a low-rent motel on the outskirts of Genoa City.
Lauren says it’s the perfect place for someone like Phyllis to disappear.
Michael says he thinks Jack would love to hear about the place where Phyllis might be hiding. He starts sending Jack a text message.
