Last Episode
On the last episode of Y&R, Daniel told Jack, Kyle & Michael that Phyllis is alive, Harmony met Dominic, and Connor was dealing with the new sibling blues.
Crimson Lights
Adam walks into the coffee shop and meets with Sally.
Sally says she wants to talk about his job offer… The answer is no.
The Genoa City Athletic Club
Nick says goodbye to a woman and says it’s good to put a name to the face, and they will talk soon. They shake hands, and she leaves the club.
Elena walks in and sits down at the bar, and Nick goes over and talks with her.
Nick asks Elena if she’s having dinner.
Elena says she’s staying there at the Athletic Club, and he was right about Nate.
Newman Enterprises
Victoria is working and Nate walks into her office.
She says that she was going to ask about his flight from L.A., but it looks like it was a crash landing.
The Abbott Mansion
Michael says “Nobody can know about this.”
Kyle asks why he should keep it under wraps.
Michael says that Kyle’s “that guy” who never hides anything from his mother.
Kyle says that Phyllis is alive, and Summer has to know the truth.
Michael says that if Diane finds out that Diane framed her for murder, she’ll gnaw off her ankle monitor and go after Phyllis for real.
He says they need to keep quiet until they have time to come up with a plan.
Diane walks into the living room and asks if there’s news about the case… Is there something she should know?
Crimson Lights
Sally tells Adam that when he offered her a job at McCall, it was a terrible idea. She says they can never work together again.
Adam says that Nick and Sally must have made that decision because it’s reckless. He says he’s giving her a chance to design the job of her dreams.
Sally raises her eyebrow when he says it’s reckless. She says that even though she’s with Nick, she still makes her own decisions.
Adam says he was just excited to work with her, and he wants that again.
Sally says they were lightning in a bottle, but she wants different things now. She says that there’s not a Newman alive who will sign her paychecks again.
The GCAC
Elena asks how long Nick has known about Nate and Victoria.
Nick says he can’t say anything, but he thinks Nate’s a jackass, and Elena deserves more.
Elena laughs and says that Nick’s good at this.
Nick says ice cream is a good healer, and they should have some!
Elena smiles and says he’s got a deal.
The Abbott Mansion
Diane asks what this is all about.
Jack says they were all brainstorming.
Diane says she doubts that Daniel is there planning her defense. She tells Daniel that she’s really sorry about what happened, and she hopes that he can leave himself open that she’s innocent.
Daniel says she’s not going to prison.
Diane says that’s a weird thing to say. She asks why he’d say that.
Jack says he’ll tell her why.
The GCAC
Nick and Elena sit at a table, with no ice cream in sight, only drinks.
Nick says that the hotel really needs to sell ice cream.
Elena clinks her glass with him in a toast.
Nick says that the night’s on him.
Elena says that he’s not paying for it, but if he wants to make up for his sister, he can pay her hotel bill.
She says that she won’t trash Victoria in front of him.
Newman Enterprises
Nate asks if she’s pouring the good stuff, and Vic says it’s the “decent stuff”, as they don’t want to get carried away again.
Victoria asks how things are, and Nate starts talking about the business. She tells him that she wants to talk about their personal life, not their business life. She asks what happened with Elena.
Nate says that Elena left him and he never wanted to hurt her.
Victoria says she’s sorry, she never wanted to hurt Elena either.
She asks if Nate thinks he can fix things between Elena and him.
Nate says that he doesn’t want to fix things.
Crimson Lights
Sally says that there are other ways for her and Chloe to build their business, and asks if Adam will respect her decision.
Adam says – suggestively – that there’s nothing about her that he doesn’t respect.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack says that if Daniel thinks Diane is innocent, that it shouldn’t be hard to convince a judge of that.
Michael says, “That’s right, isn’t it, Daniel?”
Daniel stammers and says it had to be Stark, obviously.
Diane can’t believe that Daniel believes her and says that if he can believe her, then anything’s possible. She says that she knows that Summer believes she’s guilty.
She goes on to say that Daniel is a good man and Phyllis was so proud of him.
Daniel shakes his head and says he can’t do this.
Jack says everyone in the room knows she’s innocent, and they’ll work to make sure everyone else knows too.
Diane asks if Daniel will swear in front of a judge to her innocence.
Michael says that they have to wait for proof. He says that the proof is quite slippery, and he didn’t want to raise Diane’s hopes.
Diane kisses Jack and heads out of the room.
Kyle says that his mom latched onto Daniel’s support.
Daniel says they need to make it safe for Phyllis to come home.
Michael says they have to say nothing about it to Diane.
Newman Enterprises
Nate tells Victoria that he fell into a routine with Elena.
Vic says that his heart wasn’t in it anymore.
Nate says the passion for his new job made his old relationship pale, and that he wants to be unstoppable.
He says he’s lost when it comes to relationships.
Victoria says that he needs more than she could give him.
Nate says he never wanted Elena to get hurt, but he wouldn’t have acted on his attraction toward Victoria unless he was looking for something more.

Crimson Lights
Sally tells Adam that he can’t say things like that.
Adam says he’s sorry, but when they’re together, it’s like nothing has changed.
Sally says that everything has changed between them and that Adam needs to keep his boundaries with her and watch what he says.
She says that the only thing she wants from him is for him to be a father to the child, but he has to understand that she’s with Nick.
The GCAC
Nick tells Elena that it’s time for him to offer some unsolicited advice.
He says that she should treat her breakup like a root canal… Do nothing, just chill and give herself time to breathe.
Elena asks what she should do about the podcast she’s supposed to do with Newman.
Nick says that she can work remotely, and she won’t even need to see Nate.
Elena asks how things are with him, Sally, and the baby.
Nick says that his parents are negative, and Sally’s torn about things.
He says he’s the happiest he’s been in a very long time.
Elena says he’s in love and that he should embrace that. They raise their glasses in a toast.
Crimson Lights
Adam apologizes and tells Sally that he got ahead of himself.
Sally says he needs to move on and find someone who he can give his whole heart to.
Adam asks if she thinks that there’s someone out there for him.
Sally says, “Why not?” She says that the baby will make him want to be the “best Adam he can be” and that their little girl will change his life.
Adam says she already has.
Sally says that she needs him to take this to heart… He needs to find a way to let her go.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle wonders who the dead bodies were that were used in the ambulance crash.
Jack asks Michael when they can tell Christine that the murder victim is alive.
Michael says when Phyllis is safe.
They all talk for a bit and Michael says that they need to wait to tell anyone.
Jack thanks Daniel for sharing his encounter with Phyllis, and that it changed things for everyone.
Daniel says he has to run, and Michael and him leave.
Kyle says that Summer needs to know about Phyllis.
Jack asks why he’s being so insistent.
Kyle says that he knows what it’s like to think that your mother is dead, and Summer is crying herself to sleep and blaming his mother for Phyllis’s death. He says he can’t keep it in any longer, he’s telling Summer.
Newman Enterprises
Nate tells Victoria that he’s in uncharted territory, and he finds himself drawn to her.
He asks how they could know each other for so long, and when it’s insanely inappropriate, he finds himself wanting her.
Victoria says she wants him too, and that she enjoyed their time together in California.
Nate says he doesn’t want any strings attached.
Victoria says his future’s in his hands… Where does he want to go from here?
Crimson Lights
Adam asks Sally why she thinks that he hasn’t let her go.
Sally says that she can see it in his eyes and it’s in every single thing he does. She says he can be overjoyed about the baby, but he needs to do it from a respectful distance.
Adam asks if he’ll be “notified” of the baby’s birth.
Sally says that she’ll keep him apprised about the doctor’s appointments and the baby’s health.
She says goodbye and leaves Adam alone in the coffee shop with tears in his eyes.
Newman Enterprises
Nate tells Victoria to tell him where she wants to go first.
Victoria says she wants more time with Nate.
Nate says they want the same thing.
Victoria says he needs time to mourn his relationship.
Nate says that avoidance will make things worse while he waits and wants her.
Victoria says that anticipation is fun.
The Abbott Mansion
Jack and Kyle sit on the couch and talk.
Jack says that he knows Kyle is frustrated, but they need to wait until all the pieces are in place.
He says that Summer’s doing better with Diane.
Kyle says that she’ll feel much better when she finds out that Phyllis is alive, and they can’t keep it a secret forever.
Jack says he’ll talk to Christine and asks Kyle to wait to tell Summer. He leaves the house as Kyle sits and ponders.
Sally’s Hotel Room at the GCAC
Sally walks into her hotel room and is surprised to see a formal dinner laid out.
Nick walks into the room and smiles at Sally.
Sally asks what’s happening.
Nick says there’s something he hasn’t said yet… He’s fallen completely in love with her.
Sally says “Oh.”
Nick says that wasn’t the response he was expecting.
Sally asks why he’s telling her now.
Nick says he was with someone tonight who reminded him how complicated things are, and he’s crazy about her.
He says that he can’t stop thinking about her, and she’s the best thing to happen to him in a long time.
Sally asks if he still feels the same even though his father hates her.
Nick says she’s stuck with him.
He says he hopes she’s not hungry.
Sally laughs and says she hopes he’s not tired.
They kiss and fall into bed.
Newman Enterprises
Victoria asks how Nate feels about his and Victoria’s relationship.
Nate says part of him is thrilled, but it feels like they had a business negotiation.
Victoria says she likes to keep the fun in the bedroom… And sometimes in the office.
Nate says he needs to get back to work and leaves Victoria’s office.
He passes Audra in the lobby as Victoria calls out that he needs to call her about the streaming deal later.
Crimson Lights
Jack gets a message from Christine saying she’s running late.
A moment later, his phone pings again with a notification… Jack’s phone is showing him memories, and it’s a photo of him and Phyllis together at Mariah and Tessa’s wedding.
Victor walks into the coffee shop while Jack’s looking at the picture and says it looks like Jack saw a ghost.
The Abbott Mansion
Kyle and Diane are talking, and Diane says that she wants this all to just go away… One minute they’re planning a wedding, and the next, they’re planning her defense.
She says they should all just go far away on a vacation.
Kyle says she can’t make this all go away, but he can. He says there’s something that Diane needs to know.
