This episode of The Young and The Restless airs Thursday, November 10, 2022. In this episode, Devon and Abby talk about their future, Jack and Ashley argue about Tucker’s motives, and Amanda and Phyllis talk about her leaving Genoa City.
On the last episode of Y&R, Devon and Abby get caught in an affair, Jack gave Adam some advice, and Elena and Nate reconciled.
Phyllis meets with Amanda, who tells her that she caught Devon and Abby together having sex.
She tells Phyllis that he said he didn’t know what happened. She says she never saw it coming, but she should have, because Devon and Abby always had a profound connection.
Phyllis asks if Chance knows, and Amanda told her that Chance came in with her and found them. Phyllis wonders if it was a mistake that they can all move past.
Amanda gives Phyllis a mini bottle, who takes a big swig. She asks what Amanda is going to do.
Amanda says that she’s going to go back to Virginia, that she doesn’t want to be in Genoa City anymore. She says that she can’t stay there and work with Devon every day at Chancellor-Winters.
She says she can go back to her mom a few days earlier since Devon cheated on her with Abby, and she says it’s a win-win situation for her.
Amanda says that she needs to leave for her own emotional and mental well-being, that she’ll work remotely from Virginia until a new lawyer is brought on. She says that she doesn’t think she’ll be coming back.
She says they can keep in touch, send funny memes to each other. Phyllis says that she doesn’t want to lose their friendship, that she has nobody else. She says her enemies are her friends, that she’s such a loser.
They laugh, crying, and hug. Amanda heads into the washroom to do her makeup and prepare to leave.
She says that she thought that Devon was her kindred soul, that they helped each other through difficult times. She thought that the worst happened when her mom had the stroke, and that Devon would be able to comfort her.
She wonders if the romp in the sheets with Abby was worth losing her.
Abby comes to Devon’s to pick up Dominic. He says he hasn’t gotten Dominic ready, but asks her to come in so they can talk.
Devon offers her a coffee, and asks if she’s OK. She shakes her head, and asks how Devon is feeling. He says he doesn’t know.
Abby tells him that she spoke with Chance, and that he thinks it’s a symptom of a larger problem in their marriage, that he doesn’t know if he’s the right person for her.
Devon says that he doesn’t see that, that he’s seen how Abby and Chance are together. She asks how things were with Amanda.
He says that Amanda is leaving him. Abby says she’s sorry, but Devon says it’s not her fault.
She says that Chance and her are taking some time off. Devon says that Amanda is going back to Virginia.
They agree that they don’t know how to make things right with Amanda and Chance. Devon says that he didn’t expect for anything to happen between them, and Amanda says that Chance saw it coming ever since he came back from Spain.
She says that they acted out of impulse and made a big mistake.
Devon says that it doesn’t have to ruin their lives, but Abby says that she thinks it would take a miracle not to. She says that they need to think about their friendship, that she’s come to rely on him.
She doesn’t want things to be weird and uncomfortable. He asks if she feels uncomfortable about it right now, she laughs and says no.
He says that she’s still his best friend and the mother to his son, and that what happened to them shouldn’t change anything.
Abby says she thinks things will change between them. He wonders if deep down, they wanted this to happen.
Abby says she doesn’t think so. She doesn’t want to feel like she’s betrayed anyone. She wonders if she did it because Chance was working long hours, and whether Devon was trying to get back at Amanda because she was gone so long.
He asks if she regrets anything that happened. He says that part of him doesn’t regret it.
Abby says that he can’t say that, that they have to regret it. She says it felt right in the moment, and if they didn’t get caught so soon, would they feel that guilty, or would they still be lying on the couch, wrapped in each other’s arms.
She says she’s not proud of what she did, and that it can never happen again, that they need to find a way to undo the pain that they’ve caused.
Diane reminisces about talking with Jack, and how he made her feel safe. In her memories, she and Jack kiss.
In real life, Jack comes in and sees her sitting on the couch, and asks what’s wrong. A bit flustered, she says that the doctor said that Harrison just had a virus. Jack is relieved.
Diane says that she was sticking around to see if there was anything that she could help with. Jack offers to give her a lift on his way back to Jabot.
Diane accepts, and asks Jack if there was a way that they could move past her time in L.A.
She says that they thought they were in a good place until she told him what happened in L.A. Jack says that he will take a cue from Kyle.
Diane says that Kyle accepts her for what she’s done.
He wants to believe that Diane got involved with Tucker and did this for Kyle, but he feels that she’s holding back a secret that will hurt Kyle and Harrison.
Jack says that Kyle and Harrison are the most important people to him, and Diane says she feels the same.
Tucker comes to see Ashley, and he gives her an envelope wrapped in a bow, saying that it will help prove that his intentions are pure.
She opens the envelope, which has an article about Jeremy Stark being released
They get into the elevator, and Tucker pulls the “stop” button. She asks who Jeremy Stark is, and he explains that he found out a lot of stuff about a certain someone.
Ashley says, “That someone wouldn’t happen to be Diane Jenkins, would it?”
He explains that Jeremy’s relationship with Diane was romantic at first, but he was using her as a money mule.
He says that if she wants to put the fear of god into Diane and drive her away, that she could use her knowledge about Jeremy Stark getting out of jail, and hold it over her head.
He explained that Jeremy would stuff her suitcase with cash, and then remove it before she found it, that she never knew what was happening. He later threatened to expose that she’d used Taylor as a fake dead Diane Jenkins.
Tucker says that after Jeremy Stark went to jail, that he leveraged the information about Jeremy to get information about Ashley from Diane.
She asks why Tucker is trying to get Diane out of Genoa City, and what’s in it for him.
He says that he would prove himself worthy of her, and that her opinion is the only one that matters to him. He vows that any alliance he had with Diane is over.
He says just wants to find his way back into Ashley’s heart, and asks her to tell her what she wants, as he’d move heaven and earth to get it for her.
Jack and Diane show up at the Jabot offices, and as they exchange glances, Tucker asks Ashley if they can have dinner to continue their conversation about L.A. She says “of course”, and they kiss each other warmly.
Tucker excuses himself, and Diane says that she didn’t know that Ashley had such an interest in L.A. Ashley retorts that she wants to know all about the major players there.
Jack confronts Ashley privately about what’s going on between her and Tucker.
Ashley tells him that Tucker gave her some information on Diane, and Jack says that he doesn’t want to hear anymore. He tells Ashley to back off, to leave Diane alone.
Diane confronts Tucker in front of the restaurant, and he asks her if she’s following him. She ignores it and asks what he’s doing with Ashley.
He tells her it’s none of her business, and that their business is concluded, and to stay the hell out of his way.
